Viansa Winery
25200 Arnold Drive
Sonoma, CA 95476.

Viansa is a festive Tuscan-inspired vineyard that specializes in Italian-style wines. We love the indoor marketplace where you can taste wines and sample food. We suggest having a light lunch at their shaded picnic area with a dramatic view of lush vineyards.

Gloria Ferrer Champagne Caves
23555 Carneros Hwy.
Sonoma, CA 95476
Gloria Ferrer is located on top of a hill - the view from the Vista Terrace is a good reason to stop by for a glass of sparkling wine. Check out the hillside caves where they store the wine.
Gundlach-Bundschu Winery
2000 Denmark St.
Sonoma, CA 95476

This winery is located down a long winding road, but the 10,000 square foot cave and luscious zinfandels are worth the trek.

Sebastiani Vineyards and Winery
389 4th St. East
Sonoma, CA 95476

For many people, Sebastiani is the epitome of Sonoma County’s wine tradition. Visit their historic museum and marketplace, view the architecture and sample their cabernet sauvignon and merlot wines.

Landmark is a small Spanish Mission-style winery with notable chardonnays and pinot noirs.

Kenwood Vineyards

Ravenswood Winery
18701 Gehricke Rd.
Sonoma, CA 95476

Ravenswood is famous for their luscious and jammy zinfandels. If you like cabernet sauvignon, definitely try a Ravenswood zin.

St. Francis Winery and Vineyards
100 Pythian Rd.
Kenwood, CA 95409

Drop by St. Francis for some of the best views of Sonoma Valley. Surrounded by the Mayacamas Mountains with Hood Mountain as the backdrop, you’ll truly feel like you’re in wine country. We didn’t love their wines, but the impressive views are worth a visit.

Chateau St. Jean
8555 Sonoma Hwy.
Kenwood, CA 95452

Chateau St. Jean is a modern version of a medieval French castle. The manicured lawns, lush gardens and views of Sugarloaf Ridge are a visual treat. We enjoyed their reserve wines, particularly the chardonnays and cabernet sauvignons.

Ledson Winery
7335 Sonoma Hwy.
Kenwood, CA 95452

This 16,000 square foot French Normandy winery is known as “the castle” by locals.

3000 Westside Rd.
Healdsburg, CA 95448

Definitely the coolest winery we visited! Roshambo means rock, paper, scissors. This winery was taken over by the young hip granddaughter of the original founder. The tasting room is ultramodern and the wines are simple and easy to drink. Interesting and thought-provoking artwork provides decoration – when we visited, there were a lot of Radiohead-inspired pieces!

Korbel Champagne Cellars
13250 River Rd.
Guerneville, CA 95446

Drive through Russian River valley’s redwood forests to get to this century-old ivy-covered stone winery. Korbel is one of wine country’s most popular sites. The tour, prized antique garden and champagne are worth the drive.

Ferrari-Carano Vineyards
8761 Dry Creek Rd.
Healdsburg, CA 95448

The visitor’s center, Villa Fiore, is an extravagant Mediterranean palace surrounded by lawns, immaculate gardens and sculptures. Their wines, especially the chardonnay and fume blanc, are impressive.

Trentadue Winery
19170 Geyserville Ave.
Geyserville, CA 95441

Trentadue is a beautiful winery with sprawling lawns and vineyards. We suggest you drop by before the reception as it is located right across the street from Francis Coppola Winery!

Francis Coppola Winery
400 Souverain Rd.
Geyserville, CA 95441

This dramatic chalet with mesmerizing views of Alexander Valley was our favorite! We know you’ll see why as you drive through the gates and through the picturesque vineyards. When we visited earlier in the year, we sampled many of their wines and loved the selection.
